¡Prepárense!  National Hispanic Heritage Month is right around the corner!

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated in the United States from September 15 through October 15.  Prepare for this ahead of time by making a display for the hallway, labeling every classroom in the school with Spanish labels, and encouraging students to bring in trivia.  Assign a day per student to be ready to bring in an interesting fact or piece of trivia about Hispanics that have contributed to American history or about important or interesting Hispanic Americans in the United States today.  For example, how many Hispanics are currently contending for the Republican or Democrat nomination to the next Presidential election?  Where are they or their family from?  See if your students can read their fact/trivia on the morning announcements each day.
