¡Feliz Día de los Enamorados!

I absolutely LOVE Valentine's Day!  Even when I was single for so many years, I absolutely loved the holiday.  It is a time to promote love in this world.  I love decorating my classroom with hearts everywhere!  Here is a Power Point that you can have streaming in your classroom for February, or print the slides and have instant decorations for your classroom, door, or hallway!  Includes cultural phrases such as:  "Cielo," "Mi media naranja," and "Mi príncipe azul."

Tengo un sueño...

¡Feliz cumpleaños, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.!  Here is a great activity for Intermediate or Advanced Level Spanish classes to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  Tomás Albaladejo has done an excellent translation of the speech, "I Have a Dream."  This speech is so amazing and still gives me chills in Spanish or English!  I have put together 5 activities that will get student's into the speech in Spanish and also focus on the future tense.  They are set up as written activities, but you should expand them in class by going over them and allowing students to speak their answers or write them on the board.

These activities are also included as a bonus in my newest Draw-On-A-Grid product.

¡Feliz Año Nuevo!

¡Feliz Año Nuevo! I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's Eve! I am exhausted after working at a fireworks store as a church fundraiser!
I know how hard it is that first day back to school after the New Year! It can be very difficult to get students focused and speaking in the target language again! This is a great activity for intermediate or upper-level Spanish classes to get back into it on the first day!

And here is a great resolutions activity for beginning level or elementary students!

Mi bebé aprendiendo el español... :)

This is my little baby learning a little Spanish, having fun with her daddy.  It was too cute, so I had to share!

Aquí está mi bebé aprendiendo un poquito de español, divirtiéndose con su papi.  ¡Yo lo tenía que compartir!

¡Feliz Navidad!

I have posted another one of these fun Draw-On-the-Grid activities for Christmas--this time practicing formal and informal commands!  Look for more versions coming soon:  informal commands, Spanish numbers 1-30, etc.!  If you have a request for a certain type of picture or practice with another verb tense or vocabulary list, please let me know in the comments here.  ¡Gracias!
